Sako
$57.99 CAD — Available in store
Sako Super Hammerhead cartridges in 308 Winchester are loaded with a 150-grain (9.7 g) bonded soft point bullet, code 235A. They belong to Sako's Controlled Expansion series for big game: the thick jacket keeps expansion under control while the bonded core helps the bullet stay in one piece and keep its weight. They come in boxes of 20 rounds.
Features and benefits
• Bonded core: lead and jacket are joined by a chemical bond, helping the bullet keep its mass and penetrate well
• Heavy jacket, non-fragmenting bullet: opens up in a controlled way instead of breaking apart
• Semi-spitzer boat tail profile: Sako says it flattens the trajectory
• Holds up well on bone hits, according to Sako
• 150 gr (9.7 g) bullet: the lighter of the two Super Hammerhead loads Sako offers in 308 Win
